Effects of non-vanishing dark matter pressure in the Milky Way Galaxy

چکیده

ABSTRACT We consider the possibility that Milky Way’s dark matter halo possesses a non-vanishing equation of state. Consequently, we evaluate contribution due to speed sound, assuming content galaxy behaves like fluid with pressure. In particular, model distribution via an exponential sphere profile in galactic core, and inner parts whereas compare three widely used profiles for halo, i.e. Einasto, Burkert Isothermal profile. For also effects without black hole case supermassive vacuum show present observations are unable distinguish them. Finally investigate expected experimental signature provided by gravitational lensing presence core.

The Distribution of Dark Matter in the Milky Way Galaxy

A wealth of recent observational studies shows the dark matter in the Milky Way to have the following fundamental properties: 1) there is no detectable dark matter associated with the Galactic disk – the dark matter is distributed in a purely halo distribution with local volume density near the Earth ≈ 0.3GeV/cc ≡ 0.01M⊙pc; 2) The stellar mass function is both universal and convergent at low ma...

Evidence for dark matter in Milky Way

There is an asymmetry between the mass of the electric charges, for example proton and electron, can understood by the asymmetrical Planck Distribution Law. This temperature dependent energy distribution is asymmetric around the maximum intensity, where the annihilation of matter and antimatter is a high probability event. The asymmetric sides are creating different frequencies of electromagnet...

Exploring dark matter with Milky Way substructure.

The unambiguous detection of dark matter annihilation in our Galaxy would unravel one of the most outstanding puzzles in particle physics and cosmology. Recent observations have motivated models in which the annihilation rate is boosted by the Sommerfeld effect, a nonperturbative enhancement arising from a long-range attractive force. We applied the Sommerfeld correction to Via Lactea II, a hig...

Is the dark matter halo of the Milky Way flattened ?

We performed an extended analysis of the parameter space for the interaction of the Magellanic System with the Milky Way (MW). The varied parameters cover the phase space parameters, the masses, the structure, and the orientation of both Magellanic Clouds, as well as the flattening of the dark matter halo of the MW. The analysis was done by a specially adopted optimization code searching for th...

GLAST and Dark Matter Substructure in the Milky Way

We discuss the possibility of GLAST detecting gamma-rays from the annihilation of neutralino dark matter in the Galactic halo. We have used “Via Lactea”, currently the highest resolution simulation of cold dark matter substructure, to quantify the contribution of subhalos to the annihilation signal. We present a simulated allsky map of the expected gamma-ray counts from dark matter annihilation...
